About Me
Corinna is a native Coloradan but grew up in Minnesota hunting, fishing, and running a trap line with her dad. Growing up in the country, books and the outdoors were her staples. Her family lived a self-sufficient lifestyle which only reveals its gifts after one is old enough to understand and appreciate them.
The first poem she wrote was in a poetry workshop in sixth grade about her clarinet. After the instructor remarked that it was "wonderful and evocative...." she knew writing was her thing. However, she hated school as much as she loved writing. So, she proceeded to run amok and rebel. After her teenage years she settled down in Wyoming, living there over a decade hunting and exploring the Greater Yellowstone Area. She graduated Phi Theta Kappa from Northwest College in Wyoming in 2006 and continued on to the University of Minnesota, majoring in Business Administration. She now lives in south central Montana with her husband and four boys and works her day job as a Project Coordinator for a heavy civil and underground utilities contractor. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Bear Paw, Big Hole, and Canyon Creek Battlefields. |
